On! Nicotine Pouches

Helix Innovations, a subsidiary of Altria, makes On! nicotine pouches. Altria is known worldwide for making iconic brands, such as Skoal, Copenhagen, and Marlboro. Despite its success in the combustible and tobacco markets, the company now strives to move beyond them, hence the production of On!

On! Pouches come with different nicotine pouch moisture levels. On! Plus pouches are moist, providing a more intense release and a softer mouthfeel. Meanwhile, the classic On! pouches are dry, making the experience longer-lasting and spit-free. More saliva is needed to moisten the product, meaning more can be stored and less to be swallowed or spit.

On! rectangular cans are opened slightly differently from round cans due to the distinct catchlid. This can opens similarly to the round cans' catch lid, almost like a flap, but there are two. At one end are the fresh pouches, taking up three-quarters of the pack, and at the other end is another flap for the used products, which occupies around a quarter or less of the overall pack.

Many users can get caught up with expiration or best-before dates, especially with other products, as consuming out-of-date ones can cause harm and sickness. However, nicotine pouches don’t “go off” and spoil in the same way. Instead, they go stale, reducing the excitement of the experience. Over time, the nicotine and flavors in each On! degrades, meaning consuming a pouch after its expiration date won’t cause harm but may be underwhelming and not fulfilling. For those wanting to know where the best-before-date is, it’s on the underside of the can.

Every brand of nicotine pouch does not contain tobacco leaf, deeming it tobacco-free. This brand’s pouches contain ingredients such as food-grade plant fibers, flavorings, water, pH stabilizers, sweeteners, and nicotine. However, in many brands, including On!, tobacco-derived nicotine is used, not synthetic.

This brand looks different in the can due to its uncommon shape, but it’s covered in a bright color, visualizing its tasting experience. The can design has recently been updated, with its logo in white and the strength in a black bubble at the top right corner, making sure the consumer knows everything about the product they need to at a glance. Inside, the pouches look similar to others, but they are smaller due to the brand's mini format, enabling the more compact, transportable can design.

On! is 100% tobacco-free, but is it safe? On the whole, these pouches are considered to pose far fewer health risks than traditional products, such as cigarettes or chew. But, with that said, they are a nicotine product, and nicotine is addictive, meaning nobody can claim that they're completely safe to consume. Moreover, because of the known effects of nicotine, On! is intended for adult use only.

On! nicotine pouches are free from tobacco leaves, so the build-up of fluid can be swallowed. The only thing that shouldn’t be swallowed is the entire pouch, as this may cause stomach discomfort and nausea.

The On! Rewards program gives free prizes and coupons to the brand’s most loyal customers. Users earn points when they purchase On! Products (including purchases made through Prilla), and every time they accumulate ten codes, they receive a new reward.

On! Rewards prizes include gift cards, physical gifts like cell phone stands, and coupons that give them On! product discounts.

ZYN rewards participants can accumulate their points for as long as they want, with the potential to receive high-value items like iPads. With the On! program, users reach a new card every ten points, after which they receive a pre-determined reward (sometimes with a limited choice between prizes).

You’ll need to make an On! Account to participate in the rewards program. This requires providing personal details, such as a government-issued ID, to verify age.
